Hello

Welcome to Amanda Bradley Psychotherapy

I began my journey to become a psychotherapist in 2015 after two decades in corporate finance. Before opening my private practice in 2020, I worked as a psychotherapeutic counsellor in the various low-cost voluntary sector roles across West London.  I am a Certified Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy) and hold an MSc. in Psychotherapy.  I am also a PTSTA(P), which is a supervisor and  tutor of TA Psychotherapy.

How we will work together

Using Relational Transactional Analysis (TA), interlaced with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) where appropriate, I create a contained, non-judgmental and collaborative space for you to unpack your world, explore what's happening for you today and those factors from your past which may be disturbing your inner peace and happiness.

Together, we can work through difficult feelings of grief, shame, sadness, anger and regret in a confidential and safe environment so you can feel hopeful, lighter, calmer and more centred.

My Training

As a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and Certified Transactional Analyst specializing in Psychotherapy, my practice is based on a solid academic and clinical foundations .  CTA qualification requires over four years postgraduate study (master's level), as extensive personal therapy and 300 hours more supervised clinical practice than UKCP standard requirements. As a member of UKCP, the UK Association of Transactional Analysts (UKATA) and the European Association of Transactional Analysts (EATA), my work is regulated by all three bodies, meaning I adhere to rigorous ethical codes, supervisory and ongoing professional development requirements.  I am also an ITAA endorsed PTSTA(P), which is a supervisor and tutor in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy.   My UKCP accreditation is renewed every five years via peer-led panel interview.

In 2024, I began training in EMDR, and have completed all parts of the UK EMDR Association's Practitioner training and am currently completing my accreditation filing with EMDR UK.  My EMDR work is supervised by an EMDR UK accredited Consultant.  I am a member of the UK EMDR Association and my EMDR work is governed by their code of ethics.

As well as fulfilling regulatory requirements, ongoing training ensures I have the knowledge and skills to support my clients.  This has included supplementary training in ADHD, Adult disclosure of Child Sexual Abuse and working with Military trauma.

All of this means that when you sit down with me, you can be confident that you are entering a safe, warm environment backed by recognised standards of clinical excellence and evidence-based care.
